“Here bordered by the wild fjords of northern Chilean Patagonia, Reñihué is a sanctuary of rivers, lakes, mountains, wetlands, forests, and age-old connections.”

Discover the Secrets
Join us to explore our area through sky, sea and land. Comau fjord is but the first of many of these long, narrow and deep inlets of sea, and quite particular, it hosts cold water corals near the surface. The deep forests dress the land from the coast up to the highest reaches of the Andes before giving way to mosses, lichen, rock, snow and ice. It is under the canopy of these forests where the many trails of Pumalin National Park lead to its hidden gems like lagoons, waterfalls and active volcanoes.

“Reñihué is so magical. There is so much to explore, from riding helicopters up to land on snow covered Volcán Michinmahuida to enjoying boat trips along the coast to spot seals and other aquatic mammals. I especially like hiking on the expansive property in hopes of seeing elusive animals, like the guiña or pudu, and scouring the coastal flats for mussels to cook for dinner. Reñihue is a secluded and special place that I can’t wait to come back to over and over again!
Reñihue is also a wonderful point to begin exploring more of the Carretera Austral in Chile!
Hosts Eduardo and Valentina are amazing people with a love of life and a passion for preserving nature and documenting it! And Charlie is a very special person for doing his best to keep Reñihué a pristine conservancy in Chile.”
